FERROUS................

It was only 4 posts ago that I busted my Rig and I already have the replacement Ferrous. Either I need to update this blog more often or the Fisher folks work pretty quick. About 10 days from the time I took it in to the shop. Same color as my Poprad. It will probably be a while before I get it together though. This baby is undergoing and interesting overhaul and I robbed parts from the Rig to get the Ruffian put together.

I plan to ride the Tosa trails this Saturday morning at 9:30am from La Casa de Bubba. If you are reading this.....you are invited.
Let me know if you need the 10-20. This guy knows truckin' talk.

Jerry's old ride is going to suit me just fine. It may not go real fast anymore, but it still looks good.

I think I'll stick to steel bikes for a while.......they seem to hold up better for me. This is also the first steel fork I've had on a 29er. It feels better than a 26in steel fork.

Also...the tread direction cop should take note that the tires are now properly mounted......I think.

CAN YOU SEE MY CRACK...............PART 3.........

The Milwaukee river trails have a way of wreckin' shit......usually me, but this time it was my bike. I didn't even notice it until tonight when I went for a quick ride with Coooop under the cover of darkness. This is the third Rig frame that I've cracked in the exact same place. I had intentions of selling this bike, but after spending lots of time on it the last few months, had it set up and fitting real nice and I started to think I would hang on to it.
Well....so much for that idea.
I think it might be time for the Fisher folks to put me on something that is going to stay in one piece. I know of a few folks that have been able to warranty busted Rigs with these....We'll see...

Back in her freshman year, Meg and a handfull of her friends from school decided to grow their hair to donate to Locks of Love.
Fast forward to their junior year and today was the day to "girl up" so to speak and "git-r-done".
I think these girls deserve some props...I mean heck, I don't ever remember doing anything nice for anyone when I was in high school. I was just a smart-ass, snot-nosed punk.

I LIKE COFFEE..............

That's right coffee, C-O-F-F-E-E....ok? I don't know much about all these nifty new coffee drinks like breve's, expresso's, latte's, etc., but I figure if John Wayne didn't need them, neither do I.

I've been a coffee drinker ever since I can remember, but only lately have I become "picky" to a point that I would rather go without than drink an average(or worse) product. Jamie started working for Alterra a few months ago and we now have a kitchen full of assorted fresh, high-end "joe" that quite frankly has gotten me a bit spoiled. You conessuers all know the brews.....Cafe' Voltaire, Blue Heeler, Punch in the Face, Dark Sumatra or Kama Sutra or whatever. And the list goes on. I actually had to pull some of the good beer out of the fridge to make room.

I've even recently warmed up to the whole "coffee shop experience" since Jamie is no longer working in the mall and is at the brand new Alterra on 92nd and North ave. ( A friendly enough outfit, but their MTB racing team could sure use a little help :).....It's gonna be a real nice pit stop this fall/winter when the trail rides get downright cold.

Hell, I might even try one of those fancy-schmancy coffee drinks one of these days....but until then I'll like my coffee like I like my women....
