DIAGNOSIS...............
Andrea had to walk her bike home "like 6 miles" from her friend's house (her friend lives 2 miles away.) She asked me why she got a flat.
Now....I'm not going to be mistaken for a bicycle mechanic any time soon, but I was all over this one.

Looks like that metal tire plug didn't work. Tell her next time there is a hole, fix it with a tire boot and patch the tube.
Sounds like someone needs to sit down and practice some tire mounting.. when that's done, I'll loan you pile of tubes that need patching.
