Well...I jumped back into the home improvement projects at Casa de Bubba after about a year break. On the plans for this winter is the master bedroom (or as I like to call it...The Workshop), replacing all of the interior doors in the house, and installing closet organizers in 3 or 4 closets. Saturday I will be traveling south of the cheddar curtain to pick up some materials here for the closets. The project also includes bustin' down walls (to make some closet door openings larger), refinishing hardwood floor, painting, and staining., new ceiling fan....well you get the idea. I will be enlisting the services of this guy for some of the pretty work. I'll handle all the breakin' stuff myself (I hope his woodworking is a whole lot better than his blogging or I'm in deep shit) I'll post pics.of my progress... I mean hell...this blog can't get much worse. Trying to get motivated to GIT-ER-DONE should be easier now that I've kicked the flu bug. I just rubbed some dirt on it....I don't understand why he can't.

TOP SECRET TRAINING......................
NO.....I'm not training to be a homosexual disco recording artist (not that there's anything wrong with that). In fact, since I've joined I have not seen these YMCA front men even once. I have bumped into this guy a bunch of times though.
I've been working out pretty regularly this winter (spinning class, body pump, and swimming) and have not lost a pound. However, now that I'm the second comming of Mark Spitz, my neighbor is trying to get me to do a triathlon. Does anyone know the distances for swimming, running, biking?? Or does it vary from race to race. He assures me I do not have to look like one of the Village People to do a triathlon. HMMMM.

THEY WOULD SELL BETTER WITH MY PICTURE...................
Meg got a very nice e-mail from Don Edberg yesterday congratulating her on having the above picture chosen for a CycleOps ad to be seen in the new WORS handbook.
She was going to immediately reply with a "show-me-the-money" e-mail, but I talked her out of it.
She printed off a bunch of copies and I think plans to wallpaper the halls at school.
She was feelin' fine on cloud nine until I reminded her that we have had that exact trainer in the basement for 3 years and to date she has logged an impressive 14 minutes total on it. PUNK..

HE'S FROM BELGIUM..................................
I kicked a few bucks Tristan's way. I don't know Tristan personally, and I only donated enough cash for a helping of brussels sprouts or so (for me that is....maybe he can get a little more mileage out of it), but hey......this is good stuff.
Be an athletic supporter.

NO EXPLANATION NEEDED
But I'll give you one anyway. I have a bunch of nifty new electronic stuff and as I type this have 5 or 6 instruction books in front of me and I can't make sense of anything. I really need to get my head out of my ass and figure this shit out.
I went for a ride at the Milwaukee River today. I think I had fun, but I'll have to wait for this clown to update his blog to find out for sure.

I've been doing some lap swimming lately. My neighbor has been doing it for years and had been bustin' my chops to give it a go. I'm really glad I did. I have swam about 5 of the last 10 days and can certainly tell that I have been working. It's a real nice change of pace and a darn good cardio workout from what I'm told. I'm taking it easy initially, but even after 20 to 30 minutes at a steady easy pace I'm felling pretty good. I will gradually ramp it up in the coming weeks. My only complaint is that the pool can get a bit crowded at the "Y" so I'm looking into some options for my own gig.
