CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED............

Meg got her drivers license on Tuesday.

I told her she should probably get her CDL with air brakes right away too. While she's at it........Double/triples and haz-mat endorsements couldn't hurt either.
No time like the present to start preparing for the future.........Right Dano??

I don't want to be too gloom and doom about younger drivers, nor do I want to over generalize.. still here is my advice to any new driver..

1. cell phone
2. run stop sign
3. 10 over..

I advise avoiding such things, but if you're gonna do it (based on what I see), pick one at a time please.

( in truth such driving seems to appear once confidence sets in, say at 23 or 16.5 )

Oh, and congratulations! My kids are still 5 and I am already NOT looking forward to this particular milestone.

Oh sh#t. That is like giving a handgun to a monkey.

I better not see any scratches on the van young lady.

Gotta keep the sheet metal on the Bubbamobile on straight.

Megan...bike racing and driving are 2 completely different things. Here's some important differences:

1) While driving you don't need to call out "on your right" before blowing the doors off of some pathetically slow driver.
2) When stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway; definitely don't jump out of your car and try pushing it through the traffic.
3) Don't expect "call ups" at traffic lights.
4) Despite what your Mom says...you don't need to wear your helmet when driving a car. After all what could happen to you when your going 65 mph down the Menomonee Parkway.

OK, who's got #5? #6?...

5) I know you're fast on the bike so just remember if you get pulled over for speeding, remember to smile and run your hand through your hair. If it's a guy cop, you'll hopefully only get a warning. If if doesn't work though, I won't pay the bill. CONGRATS!

Take a close look at the pic...that's not Meg; it's Deborah Harry from Blondie many years ago.

Debby Harry? Nah, Megs is prettier. In a wholesome way, not a weirdo way.

My advice to Megs is to carry her USAC license with her when she drives. Why? Somewhere in Waukesha there's a Sheriff's Deputy who let me out of a speeding ticket when I gave him my racing license as well as my driver's license. 75 in a 55. He was kind of cute, in a donut eating, no exercising sort of way... or maybe it was my shaved legs.

What Meg really needs next is a motorcycle license, preferably for large cycles.

Let ScooterBoy just try to keep up...
